Meet Dr. Akinmurele
Dr. Oladotun Akinmurele is a highly experienced family physician with over two decades of medical practice in both the U.S. and Nigeria. He earned his MBBS from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Underwood Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Akinmurele is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
From 2011 to 2024, Dr. Akinmurele worked as a Primary Care Physician and Hospitalist at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, NM, where he held key leadership positions such as Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Staff, and Clinic Medical Director, as well as chairing the hospital’s Peer Review Committee.
Dr. Akinmurele is a strong advocate for preventive healthcare, emphasizing the importance of early detection, lifestyle management, and patient education to promote long-term health and wellness.
